Bet on women. Every time.
We’re on a roll, ladies! Today, I’d like to highlight three incredible women whose determination and dedication inspire us all.
Cherie DeVaux stood in the Churchill Downs winner’s circle on Saturday as the first woman in 152 years of Kentucky Derby history to train the winning horse. Golden Tempo was a 23-1 longshot who came from dead last. DeVaux came from 22 years of early mornings, grit, and faith in the process – and she said it herself:
“You can dream big and you can pivot. You can come from one place and make yourself a part of history.”
Christina Koch flew around the moon in April – the first woman ever to travel beyond low Earth orbit and into deep space. She photographed Earthset from the far side of the moon. And when she came home, she delivered what may be the defining quote of the entire mission: watching Earth grow small through the window, she said –
“Planet Earth, you are a crew.”
That’s not just a space quote. That’s a leadership philosophy.
And Reshma Kewalramani – physician, immigrant, mother, and one of TIME’s 2026 Women of the Year – became the first woman to lead a major public biotech company when she took the helm of Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Under her watch: the first CRISPR gene-editing therapy approved in history. The first new class of pain medication in 20 years. A cystic fibrosis drug that extended life expectancy by decades.
Three completely different arenas. Three identical stories: people who said it couldn’t be done – and women who decided otherwise.
When women are prepared, positioned, and supported, there is no ceiling they won’t shatter.
Who’s next? You already know the answer. (It's YOU!)
